Washington Alpha’s current and upcoming leaders traveled to Los Angeles this weekend for Carlson Leadership Academy – a national SigEp program that aims to enhance and foster growth.
SigEp at Washington State believes the quality of our organization is defined by the quality of our relationships. Through great networking opportunities and effective team building, the 2019 Executive Board is more than excited to share the experience with three promising underclassmen in the form of Andrew Hansen, Connor Rath, and Jared Holstad.
Hansen, Rath, and Holstad – coincidentally – are all little brothers of current e-board members.
“It’s pretty unique to attend a leadership academy with your bestfriends,” said Vice President of Recruitment Ryan Pettit. “The fact that my little [Hansen] could come just makes it that much more special.”
Our Rising Leaders punched their ticket to LA thanks to hard work behind the scenes rather than mere chance. All three were named Kent B. Hickman Scholars – a national SigEp award designed for talented young brothers with the desire to step into chapter officer positions. The upcoming trio all belongs to Member Class 18.
Chapter President Blake Gurney was the only Rising Leader to accompany the 2018 Executive Board at CLA 2018.
