MC ’16 Julian Naranjo has served the community on the Interfraternity Council since last spring as the executive vice president. Despite three SigEp’s running for positions, Julian was the only to land a spot.
A vacant chair opened on the council headed into this school year as the Director of Personal Relations resigned office. With the interim position opened, MC ’17 Andrew Thomas ran once again and won the spot per an IFC Senate vote.
“I’ve been involved with the IFC for a few years now through my work in the CFSL office. I always wanted to work my way onto the council someday, and I’m glad it finally happened,” Thomas said. “I look forward to highlighting all the good in our Greek community for the public to see.”
Thomas currently sits on the chapter’s executive board as the Vice President of Communication and is now the fourth SigEp to sit on IFC in the past two years. Preceding him and Naranjo is Austin Loomis and current SigEp Regional Director Taylor Swanson from the 2018 Council. Both of which hail from member class ’15 and attended the Ruck Leadership Institute summer of 2017.
