SigEp as a national organization fields competitive scholarship every year. Members from all chapters across the nation go after the award in hopes of paying a little bit less for tuition at their respective universities.
William Pitzer, MC ’16, applied and won the “National Competition” award for $1,000 toward his last year of tuition. Only 20 undergraduates won the award – only five of whom attend universities out west.
The influential senior served WA Alpha on the 2018 Executive Board as the Vice President of Member Development and picked up additional duties as House Manager amid his term.
Pitzer is a homegrown product here in Pullman and an alumnus of Pullman High School where he works as an assistant on the football coaching staff. He is seeking a degree in social studies and plans to teach in the high school setting and continue coaching.
Pitzer was also awarded the WA Alpha John G. Underwood Leadership Scholarship this past fall that recognizes leadership within the chapter.
