In January, the executive board was given the opportunity to fly out to San Francisco for the national SigEp Carlson Leadership Academy. There, they were able to meet SigEps from all over the west side and learn more about how they function as a chapter. Meeting and collaborating with such a diverse array of brothers was an incredibly valuable experience for our leaders to come home with.
Additionally, we were honored to receive the Donald C. McCleary Membership Development award. This award goes to the chapter that best demonstrates excellence in the developmental process of building future leaders with the Balanced Man Program.
“This award means a lot to the chapter. The past 10 years of hard work in developing this program by previous VPMDs was the catalyst to our success, and we will continue to build off that foundation.”
-Jeffrey Myers, VP of Member Development
Micheal Seraphin, a devoted Washington Alpha alumnus, was also the winner of the Distinguished Alumnus award. This award recognizes alumni who have committed exemplary service to their chapter and have made a difference for over 10 years. Thank you for your commitment to our chapter’s excellence, Micheal.
We are excited for more opportunities to learn and grow as a fraternity, and we are super grateful for the chance to travel to such a fantastic leadership academy!
